The choice of works to present in your application is entirely up to you, and we cannot assist you in this choice.
You can choose works:
- of the same technique, or of different techniques,
- of the same series, or of different themes.
There is no imposed theme. Don’t try to ‘guess’ the tastes of the Artistic Commission by trying to find common points in the works selected in the past.
What is required of you is not to adapt to the Artistic Commission, but simply to be yourself.
In any case, the Artistic Commission will carefully study your application dossier. It expects you to meet certain criteria, which may seem subjective but are nonetheless important.
For example, the Commission may be sensitive to the following points: the originality of the work, technical mastery, coherence of the piece, freshness, novelty, historical continuity, artistic, literary, historical, scientific, or philosophical references in your work, the message conveyed, the poetry that emanates from the work.
We also understand that presenting a few works can be quite limiting or reductive, but know that if you indicate in your application the address of your website, your Facebook page, your Instagram profile, or any other online address, it will likely be visited by the Artistic Commission at the time of studying your application if it wishes to know more about you. Thus, the Artistic Commission will have the broadest possible vision of your artistic work.
